Journey To The Interior Of A Computer Part Ii
Hello Friends Good day.
I hope all walks of wonder. Our trip to learn more about the internals of the computer starts with the computer case, poorly named CPU, and I say misnamed because so many people know him simply CPU, this reference has been given in time to be the part where the main piece "The brain of the Computer" Microprocessor = CPU = Central Processing Unit, which lie within the cabinet was named CPU him the whole structure in a wrong way, being that the CPU is only the chip of a few centimeters, once clarified this point then we have:
0 .- Cabinet
It is the means which is mounted on an architecture of components
1 .- Mother Board
Within the Cabinet is the motherboard (Mother Board) which is the basis for setting up a computer as such on the motherboard is a socket which is mounted on the microprocessor (CPU), also found a set of banks where RAM is placed, there are also channels that allow communication with other devices via cable storage and expansion slots increase the capacity of interaction with other media, a number of ports of entry / exit enable communication with external devices usually are placed in the back and another in the front, other internal parts of great importance and that goes on inside of cabinet power supply is responsible for distributing electrical power inside and to each of the devices that depend on it, finally and a fundamental part of any computer are the hard disk storage devices, Units CD - DVD - Tape - Cards - Equalizer with front exit Cabinet, etc. Broadly speaking these are the interior parts of the computer.
2 .- CPU. Pocessing Central Unit - Central Processing Unit
We said that the CPU is the brain of the computer also known simply processor, microprocessor or central processor. It is the most important component of computer equipment to be where you perform most of the processes of calculation and control of the computer system itself.
3 .- Memory
RAM (Random Access Memory - Random Access Memory) are a set of integrated circuits or chips who are responsible for saving the data and information coming in, which is being processed, where you place run programs that require. Memory is in constant motion as it can directly access, read, written and modified, it is a volatile memory, meaning that when you turn the computer all the information placed there again lost its vacuum state, this memory is used while the user is interacting with the entry of data and information and processes are carried out. To avoid loss of data or forward the information to be used in future resort to the storage units.
4 .- Bios
BIOS is an acronym for Basic Input / Output System (Basic Input / Output). What keeps the Bios is a small software that initiates a series of specific processes at start using codes that control the keyboard, save the date and the system clock, disk drives, serial communications, and many other functions.
Also known as BIOS ROM is installed using a small ROM BIOS chip, that allows your content is always available. In if you save the entire configuration of the computer startup
5.-The central processing unit (CPU) is the component performs That all Calculations and mathematical Manipulations computer.MemoryDisk Drives in a Disk Storage Units
Every computer has at least one storage unit or more depending on the characteristics and are responsible for storing data and information. (See Post Data Storage)
Hard Drives, A contains at least one computer disk or CD drive.Unidades DVD, floppy drives, tape drives, Card Readers Drives.
6 .- Port Connection (Output Base Interface)
These ports are located on the back front of the cabinet and allow the connection of keyboard, mouse, monitor, printer, network port, Audio, Modem and USB devices among others. (See Post How to connect a computer)
7 .- Connection Ports (Outputs Interface Card)
These ports are added as required and can expand the possibilities of using the computer, usually is done by installing a card that is placed in an expansion slot located on the motherboard. These slots can be of the PCI, AGP, CNR and more.
Once installed it count with a rear connection port that allows the device to communicate with the need required.
Example: Video Capture Card, Super Video, Wireless Network, USB `s.
8 .- Power
All computers require a power supply that allows constant power supply to the motherboard and each of the components such as hard disk drives, CD - DVD, as well as devices connected directly to the motherboard .
As you will notice in my contribution today I refer to other post earlier and you had mentioned, this by no duplicate content issues, so I'm inviting you this if you have not seen yet I recommend you do.
At the Post - and next week I will show you graphically as they communicate each and every one of the components that you literally just described, though not my intention to become a support person for me is important to know how it works its composition and structure, the internal parts that make up a computer, you use, where to buy ... how to replace or add a component ... this is just the basics roughly the many opportunities for growth in the knowledge of the types Computers and Beyond.
This is all for today, hope you enjoyed my contribution serves Today, we write the next installment.
Greetings and Blessings
Thank you for your visit.
